Five Vanderbilt University Medical Center nurses were honored as Preceptor of the Year by Vanderbilt University School of Nursing (VUSN) during its August pinning ceremony.

The nurses recognized were:

“Preceptors teach students how to be providers,” said VUSN Dean Pamela Jeffries, PhD, RN. “They are vital in developing the next generation of advanced practice nurses. Vanderbilt, our students and society owe them a great debt of gratitude.”

“Congratulations to these exceptional nurses,” said VUMC Executive Chief Nursing Officer Marilyn Dubree, MSN, RN, NE-BC. “They represent excellence in many areas of our Medical Center, and they have generously shared their time and talents with the next generation of nurses so they can practice at the top of their licenses.”
